Charlie Dempsey regains NXT Heritage Cup with assist from Wren Sinclair

No Quarter Catch Crew has the cup once again.

The first championship match of the night on the 8/13 WWE NXT program was the Heritage Cup match. Charlie Dempsey challenged Tony D’Angelo for the trophy.

It was in May that D’Angelo bested Dempsey to take the trophy and the final result of their latest go-round saw Dempsey regain the trophy.

The backend of their bout saw Myles Borne jump on the ring apron to distract D’Angelo. Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo jumped into the ring and signaled to D’Angelo to send him flying over to the top rope onto Borne. While the referee’s attention was on the outside of the ring, Wren Sinclair swept D’Angelo’s foot off the ropes.

Dempsey capitalized and went on to become a two-time holder of the Heritage Cup. He was initially hesitant about Sinclair being added to No Quarter Catch Crew.
