The NXT Title is the main goal.

After the duo formerly known as M.S.K. (Wes Lee & Zachary Wentz) failed to capture the NXT Tag Team Championships, Lee attacked his longtime partners Wentz and Trey Miguel.

He appeared on the 8/13 WWE NXT and when asked about his actions by backstage interviewer Sarah Schreiber, Lee said it’s time to start taking what’s his. He further expanded on his actions during an in-ring segment. Lee said Wentz let him down in the aforementioned Tag Title match and let him down when M.S.K. ended by way of Wentz being released.

Lee stated that he’s tired of taking care of Wentz and added that he kept The Rascalz together. Lee feels Wentz and Miguel only showed up to NXT to get the ‘WWE rub.’ He knows Wentz will want a match against him and feels No Mercy on 9/1 is the place to do it.

He went on to say that once that’s done, Wentz and Miguel can go back to being TNA wrestlers, while he continues being a WWE superstar. He then proceeded to say that he wishes them well in their future endeavors.

Pete Dunne entered the picture and praised Lee for his actions, but Dunne redirected and reiterated that he’s focused on the NXT Title. He turned down Trick Williams’ challenge for a rematch and expressed that he’s only worried about the title.

In the opening segment, Joe Hendry approached NXT Champion Ethan Page and set his sights on the title. He was ambushed from behind by Wes Lee, but during Lee’s in-ring segment, Hendry returned the favor and ambushed him from behind.
