AEW TBS Championship Match: Mercedes Mone’ (c) (w/ Kamille) vs. Hikaru Shida

The commentary team is in a jovial mood, as Taz sings along to Mercedes Mone’s theme and doesn’t want to be interrupted. Mercedes starts in control and dances over Hikaru Shida, who comes right back with a shoulder block. Mercedes is able to take Shida right into a cross-face before they both hit a double dropkick on each other. Shida comes back with a hurricanrana sending Mercedes into the corner and hits her with the ten punches as the crowd seems split between the two. They start trading some pin attempts before Mercedes cowards to the apron and as Shida tries to suplex her back in, Kamille is there to hold Mercedes down by the foot. Shida gets into Kamille’s face on the outside, and Mercedes takes advantage of this and hits a Meteora onto Shida. Back in the ring, Mercedes hits another Meteora for a two. Mercedes stays in control, hitting knees in the corner for another two. Shida takes over after hitting a dropkick off the corner and continues to land strikes on Mercedes followed by a jumping knee for two. Mercedes comes back with a backbreaker but misses another Meteora, as Shida dodges and places Mercedes on the corner, but Mercedes pushes her off and hits another Meteora for two. Mercedes follows with a Three Amigos attempt, but Shida stops the last one and hits a Falcon Arrow for two. Shida goes to hit the Kitana, but Kamille is able to pull Mercedes to the outside. Shida takes out Kamille with a dropkick before going after her with her Kendo stick. Mercedes takes the stick away, and as the referee is trying to take it from her, Kamille takes out Shida with a big boot. Mercedes pulls Shida back in the ring and hits the Money Maker to get the pin and the win.

Winner: Mercedes Mone’ by pinfall at 10:30, to retain

As soon as the match is over, Dr. Britt Baker DMD’s music hits. Mercedes sends Kamille to go after her, as Kamille sees a masked person in the crowd that she thinks is Baker and attacks her. As this is happening, Baker walks through the crowd, gets into the ring, takes out Mercedes, and tries to put her in the Lockjaw, but Kamille is there to pull Mercedes out of the ring.

They show footage from last Wednesday after Dynamite, where ‘Hangman’ Adam Page attacked Jeff Jarrett before Jay Lethal got involved in setting up tonight’s match.

Renee Paquette is in the back with Lethal, Jarrett, Karen Jarrett & Sonjay Dutt as Lethal says they don’t like Page, and whatever is going on with Swerve Strickland is a problem. Page shows up out of nowhere and attacks Jarrett & Lethal with a microphone before he and Lethal start fighting towards the ring to get the match started.

Jay Lethal vs. Adam Page

Right away, Jay Lethal sends Adam Page to the outside and hits him with five back-to-back tope suicidas. They head to the apron, where Page hits a Deadeye before tossing Lethal into the barricades, sending him onto the timekeeper’s table as we head to picture-in-picture.

When we come back, Page is in control hitting a belly-to-belly suplex for two, before driving Lethal into the corner where he hits him with chops and strikes followed by a Death Valley Driver for two. They start trading pin attempts before Lethal hits the Lethal Combination for another two. Lethal tries a Figure Four, but Page stops it with an eye rake, and hits a discus lariat followed by the Buckshot Lariat to get the pin and the win.

Winner: Adam Page by pinfall at 9:32

They show highlights of MJF defending the AEW American Championship against Michael Oku this past Sunday at RevPro, including a surprise appearance from Will Ospreay to chase MJF away. They follow this with a hype video for MJF vs. Ospreay with comments from both ending with MJF saying is willing to do whatever it takes to win while Ospreay doesn’t have that in him. They announce that next week they will go face-to-face on Dynamite from Cardiff, Wales.

PAC Is All Out Of Patience

We go to PAC in the back who reminds us that he’s the #1 contender to the American Championship and says that Ospreay went behind his back and got a match at Wembley Stadium. He is sick of constantly being overlooked, manipulated, and treated like a bum as that was a ticket to his Wembley moment. PAC says he will face the winner of that match for the ‘International’ Championship at All Out, the same place where he defeated Kenny Omega five years ago.

Tarzan Bullshit & Coffin Match

We get a video for Darby Allin who talks about his journey to get to AEW and finding out that they signed ‘Jungle Boy’ Jack Perry, and not knowing who he is and realizing then this is a place where The Elite just hire their friends. Darby said nobody believed his ‘Tarzan bullshit’ and now Perry is himself, a child who takes everything for granted. Darby says with all the ‘dumb shit he pulled’ he wished Perry would have gotten fired last year, and that nobody would miss him and asks what he even has done in AEW, before ending that this comes to an end at All In.

Darby Allin makes his entrance, but as he comes out, a masked Jack Perry takes him out with a running knee before revealing himself. They take it to the back and start fighting on top of the equipment before Perry tosses a trash can into Darby and sends him right into a steel gate face-first, before dropping the gate onto him. Perry spits in Darby’s face and tells him he only pretends to be a hero and goes to smash an equipment case into him, but security gets right in the way and stops him. Perry says he wants to beat Allin in his own game and suggests a Coffin Match at All In which is then made official (There are such things as glass coffins, just saying…)

What Ever Happened To Toni Storm?

We go to a black-and-white video for Mariah May, who immediately stops it and says ‘We aren’t doing that shit’ as it goes to color. May talks about Toni Storm failing last year at Wembley, and this year it’s all about Mariah and not Storm. Storm’s greatest mistake was being alive at the same time as May, and now it’s time to burn and she will forget Storm completely as she has better things to do. One day she’ll look out the window and wonder ‘What ever happened to Toni Storm’ and says she will write a eulogy for her.

Renee is in the back with Mina Shirakawa who says she hasn’t spoken to either Mariah or Storm and she is heartbroken by what happened before saying she still loves them both. Mina says she’s never seen Mariah so vicious and Storm wanting so much revenge and can’t believe these are the same people. Renee asks who she thinks will win, but Mina just hopes nobody will get seriously hurt.

Orange Cassidy vs. Roderick Strong vs. Kyle O’Reilly

This match determines who will get the #1 spot in the Casino Gauntlet Match at All In. All three start the match going after each other with kicks before Roderick Strong sends Kyle O’Reilly to the outside and keeps Orange Cassidy in the corners with chops. O’Reilly enters and sends Strong to the outside as Orange hits Strong with a tope suicida. Gentlemen Kyle holds the rope for Orange to re-enter as we head to picture-in-picture.

All three are going at it in the ring until Strong comes out on top and goes for pin attempts on both opponents. Strong gets sent to the outside as O’Reilly & Orange trade pin attempts, but as O’Reilly puts on a rear-naked choke, Strong runs back in and puts on a double Boston Crab on both men. Taz calls it a New Hampshire Crab, and Excalibur wants none of that name. Strong & Orange go to the top rope, but O’Reilly stops them. O’Reilly ends up putting a guillotine on Strong, but Orange breaks it up with an elbow drop on O’Reilly. Matt Taven & Mike Bennett make their way out and get on the apron, but Mark Briscoe & Tomohiro Ishii stop them, including Briscoe diving onto them off the chair he placed in the ring, before all four, brawl to the back. Orange sends Strong to the outside, not before taking a seat on the chair. All three continue brawling on the outside as we head to another break.

When we return, Strong & O’Reilly are chopping and kicking away at each other, with Orange getting caught in the middle. Orange ends up taking them both out with a double hurricanrana, a DDT on O’Reilly, and the Beach Break on Strong, who kicks out at two. All three keep going at it until Orange breaks up a heel hook from O’Reilly but attacks Strong. O’Reilly & Strong hit the high-low on Orange and both try to go for the cover, as Bryce Remsburg tells them they can’t do that. O’Reilly tries to roll up Strong but gets rolled up himself by Orange to get the pin and the win.

Winner: Orange Cassidy by pinfall at 15:56

99 Problems & This Bitch Will Be One

Renee is in the back to moderator the face-to-face between Kazuchika Okada and Claudio Castagnoli ahead of their Continental Championship next week on Dynamite. Claudio says the Continental Classic meant a lot to him and he felt like the Continental Title was meant for him, and it bothered him not coming out on top. Claudio said this time he plans to make his title shot count, as it’s the first Dynamite in Europe. Okada starts mocking Claudio and says 12 people fought for his title, but he came out on top and he’s the best tournament wrestler of all time Claudio will respect him when he beats him in Cardiff before ending by saying ‘Good luck, bitch’. Claudio says he wants the ‘true’ Rainmaker and not this comedy lackey for The Elite. Claudio ends this by saying he is bringing his best next week and Okada is better ready and in Wales, Okada will have 99 problems, and ‘this bitch’, will be one.

Go Be A Mother

After the break, Renee is with The Patriarchy and says it’s a question mark on who will challenge them for the AEW World Trios Championship at All In. Christian Cage says he played it fair on Collision and Bang Bang Gang & House of Black just couldn’t get up for the count. Christian talks about his goal being to hold every title in AEW, before hyping up Nick Wayne’s upcoming match on Rampage against Kip Sabian says ‘he won’t be there’. Christian kicks Renee out and tells her to go be a mother, before saying she’s probably a worse mother than she is an interviewer.

Jericho Will Never, Ever, Be The Same Again

Tony Schiavone is in the ring and speaks for Virginia saying they don’t even want Christian here, before bringing out Hook who still has the bandage over his eye from the Chris Jericho fireball. Schiavone asks Hook how his eye is, and he says he can’t see from his left eye before getting really close to the camera. Hook says the problem for Jericho is that he can see just fine with his right eye and he wants to fight Jericho for his FTW Championship right here and right now. Jericho comes out along with Big Bill & Bryan Keith. Jericho calls Hook a stupid son of a bitch for still wanting to challenge him to a fight and starts asking if Hook wants a fight, before telling him that he ain’t getting one as it’s not worth his time to fight him in Norfolk. Jericho continues that Wembley Stadium is more worth his time, and he will give him a shot at All In but with the caveat that it’s Hook’s final chance and he will walk out of the Jericho Vortex forever. The second caveat is that Hook will face Big Bill next week on Dynamite. Bill says he is going to beat Hook down and shove him straight up Taz’s ass, which Keith repeats. Hook accepts and says he’s looking forward to dumping Big Bitch on his big ass head and tearing Jericho limb from limb, and after Wembley Stadium, Jericho will ‘never, ever, be the same again’.

AEW World Tag Team Championship: The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson) (c) vs. The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens & Max Caster) (w/ Billy Gunn)

The Young Bucks come out for their entrance, which has an over-the-top introduction by Justin Roberts, but The Acclaimed attack them from behind as they start brawling around the entrance, including a dive off the ramp to the Bucks. Eventually, Matthew Jackson & Anthony Bowens enter the ring to start the match officially. Billy Gunn makes his way down ringside which gets a big pop. The Bucks start double-teaming on Max Caster, as Excalibur rounds back from the trios’ segment earlier where he said he messed up and called the match from Collision a ‘double draw’ instead of a no contest. I don’t know, Excalibur, I called it a ‘double knockout’. Matthew & Caster go back and forth as we head to picture-in-picture.

When we return, Nicholas Jackson taunts Billy Gunn to attack him with a chair, but before he can, Rick Knox catches it and ejects Gunn to the back. After a lot of taunting and messing around with Caster, he’s able to make the hot tag to Bowens, but right away the Bucks take him out with a Sliced Bread and a knee strike as Matthew gets a two. Matthew stays in control, holding down Bowens as we head to break.

The Young Bucks are still in control before they pump up their sneakers and take out Caster on the apron. They try to do the same to Bowens, but he’s able to dodge and take them both out with a double clothesline. Tony Schiavone announces that they have taken their final break of the night, as Caster tags in and hits a sling blade before sending Matthew into the corner with a Snake Eyes. Caster follows with a top rope crossbody on Nicholas, but Matthew breaks it up. All four go at it, before taking each other down with clotheslines. Nicholas tries to hit a senton, but Caster is able to get his knees up. As Caster tries to make the tag to Bowens, Matthew takes Bowens and powerbombs him onto the ramp. Rick Knox gets taken out in the corner, and Matthew uses this opportunity to hit a low blow on Caster. Matthew goes to use the title belt, but FTR runs out and stops him. Matthew spits in Dax Harwood’s face, which causes Dax to attack him, as the Knox is back up and calls for the disqualification.

Winners: The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson) by disqualification at 18:08, to retain

The Acclaimed get in FTR’s face for causing that, as Billy Gunn runs back out along with a lot of security to separate them. The Bucks take their titles and leave while laughing through all this.

Renee is in the back with Christopher Daniels and asks what he is going to do about this. Daniels says that was not a definitive victory at all, so he has a simple solution. FTR vs. The Acclaimed on Collision this Saturday, where the winner goes on to face the Bucks at All In.

We get an amazing video for Bryan Danielson set to Green Day’s “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)” while showing highlights of his time in AEW, ROH, CMLL, PWG, NJPW, and more from the Indies.

Swerve Strickland (w/ Prince Nana) vs. Wheeler Yuta

Bryan Danielson is sitting in the crowd ringside for this match. Swerve Strickland starts the match staring down Danielson, before taking Wheeler Yuta to the outside and starts attacking him in front of Danielson and telling him that Yuta is just an appetizer. Back inside, Swerve stays in control while hitting a pair of backbreakers. Swerve puts on a modified Stretch Muffler, before putting on a leg lock. Yuta gets out and starts kicking away, Danielson-style, but Swerve is able to reverse out before getting sent to the outside where Yuta meets him with an elbow suicida. Back inside, Yuta tries to dive, but Swerve catches him and puts on a version of the LeBell Lock, Yuta gets out and puts on an ankle lock as Schiavone wonders if Yuta just inadvertently taught Swerve a way to get out of the LeBell Lock. Yuta comes really close to getting the win with a Seatbelt Pin, but Swerve kicks out. Yuta tries to strike away at Swerve, but he eats them all and hits an uppercut headbutt. As Danielson yells for Yuta to get up, Swerve hits Yuta with a House Call, dares him to get up, and hits a second one. Swerve hits a third one and starts stomping and punching away at Yuta, before the referee calls the match off.

Winner: Swerve Strickland by referee stoppage at 9:22

The C-Word

Bryan Danielson runs out and chases Swerve away. Swerve gets on the mic and says that’s just a preview of what he will do to Danielson and says that Danielson’s daughter will be sitting ringside just like Danielson did tonight and he will force Danielson to retire in front of her, by crippling Danielson. Taz talks about how using that ‘c-word’ is breaking the code, but as Danielson is checking on Yuta, Swerve runs back in and takes out Danielson with a House Call before mocking the Yes chant.
