A new episode of Cody Rhodes’ YouTube series titled What Do You Wanna Talk About? is up on WWE’s YouTube channel

His latest guest was Randy Orton and as their conversation moved along, Orton touched on his ventures into acting and doing auditions. He shared that he auditioned for the role of ‘Cable’ which is a character in the Marvel film, Deadpool 2.

So I do auditions here and there and I remember I got an audition early on when I finally got some representation in that industry and I think Deadpool 2. Cable. I read for Cable and in my head, boy, I was gonna be Cable. I was gonna be Cable and I was like, mhm, this is it. Nope. No callback, no nothing. ‘Yeah, thanks.’ Josh Brolin gets it. Of course Josh Brolin gets it. Kills it. I don’t know what the f*ck I’m doing, and I think I kind of realized then, like, oh, okay. So I can send in these auditions but, I’m a pro wrestler, and I think I really enjoy being a pro wrestler and everything that it’s given me and I don’t think I’ll ever leave this place (he laughed).

Orton is a 14-time WWE World Champion and is aiming to capture his 15th. He’ll be challenging GUNTHER for the World Heavyweight Championship at Bash in Berlin on August 31st.
