A five-match lineup was jam-packed into this week’s episode of Rampage, along with a few other noteworthy segments. Here’s a recap of the latest episode of AEW’s Friday night weekly.

Quick Results

  1. The Conglomeration (Mark Briscoe, Orange Cassidy & Tomohiro Ishii) def. Truth Magnum, Turbo Floyd, The Butcher
  2. Nyla Rose def. Erica Leigh
  3. Nick Wayne def. Kip Sabian
  4. Kyle Fletcher & Rush def. KM & Rhett Titus
  5. Top Flight (Dante Martin & Darius Martin) def. MxM Collection (Mansoor & Mason Madden)

The Conglomeration pick up another win

The Conglomeration made their second-ever Rampage appearance to kick off the show, as the trio of Mark Briscoe, Orange Cassidy and Tomohiro Ishii faced Truth Magnum, Turbo Floyd and The Butcher.

Briscoe gave Ishii a hot tag after a commercial break to overcome a two-on-one against The Outrunners’ Magnum and Floyd. He tagged in Cassidy, who did a dive to the outside onto The Outrunners. Briscoe then became the legal man, setting a steel chair up in the ring to launch off for a dive to the outside. The Butcher stopped this attempt but had his next move reversed by Briscoe and turned into an Orange Punch from Cassidy.

Briscoe got to do his dive off the chair, Ishii delivered a clothesline, then Briscoe won the match with a Jay Driller.

The Outrunners lose again

The night for The Outrunners didn’t end there. Erica Leigh, who was already at ringside to support Magnum and Floyd, remained in the ring for a match against former AEW women’s champ Nyla Rose. After befriending Rose didn’t work, Leigh started to get destroyed.

Antics from The Outrunners distracted Rose, but only briefly. Rose scored a crossbody, an elbow, and then a powerbomb for a quick win.

Toni Storm offers Saraya title opportunity

After a commercial break, Saraya was seen in the ring with Harley Cameron.

Cameron tried performing Happy Birthday for Saraya, as it was her birthday. Saraya cut her off, citing a bad mood. Saraya talked about how the past year has been rough for her and expressed her frustration for not being on this year’s All In card.

Toni Storm cut Saraya off on the stage. Storm mentioned that she remembers the battles they had in the past. She then offered a deal for Saraya: She can challenge for the belt on Wednesday, and if successful will take her place at All In. Saraya accepted the challenge.

Nick Wayne picks up win, Kyle Fletcher and Rush team up

In what was his first singles AEW appearance since May, Nick Wayne met Kip Sabian in the next match. While it was clear that Wayne would win, Sabian was able to get some moments in early on. He notably scored a moonsault off the ropes to the outside in the opening moments.

Right after the break, Sabian came off the ropes but ate a Wayne’s World cutter. Wayne then scored a kick and a DDT for a near fall. Kip picked up Wayne, but a distraction from Wayne’s camp caused a pause in his momentum. This allowed Wayne to hit another Wayne’s World, ending the match.

A segment played where Scorpio Sky wasn’t allowed into Private Party’s hangout. Private Party showed up at the front and let Sky in eventually despite him not making the guest list.

Kyle Fletcher and Rush paired up for the next tag match, going up against KM and Rhett Titus. This was predictably a very short match, with Rush winning for his team with a Bull’s Horns in the corner.

Top Flight take on the tag division’s newest duo

This week’s episode of Rampage closed out with a tag team match, as Dante and Darius Martin of Top Flight faced MxM Collection’s Mansoor and Mason Madden. Lio Rush was on commentary for this match in support of Top Flight.

The match was back-and-forth to start, although Top Flight were able to land dual tope suicidas to the outside before a commercial break.

Dante got a hot tag after the broadcast returned, stringing together moves against Mansoor. Madden hit the ring in an attempt to take out Top Fight, but failed to deliver a double chokeslam. Instead, the duo gave him an airplane spin and then took him down with a double dropkick.

Mansoor got back into the ring but struggled against the Top Flight duo. Dante hit a DDT for a two-count, but Madden broke up the pin. Madden scored a huge slam on Darius, and then MxM Collection landed a unique half-chokeslam-half-german suplex double team move for a near fall.

They tried once again to get rid of Dante with a double-team move. Dante escaped a move, and then Darius got into the ring to help. Darius hit a DDT off the ropes to Madden, then Dante scored a knee strike to Mansoor. Mansoor took Dante out of the ring and went for a roll-up onto Darius, but it didn’t finish the match. Darius scored a big brainbuster then tagged in Dante for a big frogsplash for the victory.
