Nightingale is eager for more AEW events in front of different fan bases.

With Stephanie Vaquer opting to sign with WWE, she pulled out of imminent and future dates along with relinquishing titles such as the CMLL World Women’s Championship. The vacant title was contested for at NJPW x CMLL Fantasticamania: Lucha Libre USA.

There was a three-way involving Willow Nightingale, Viva Van and Lluvia. Emerging victorious was Nightingale who is now the 15th holder of the title. While speaking to That Hashtag Show, Nightingale expressed that she wants AEW to do a show at Arena México.

But after I won the championship, the TBS, I was like, okay, that was my first big goal within AEW and I’ve done that. What do I wanna do now? And I really wanted to see the company travel internationally. Obviously, we’ve been to Canada. We did All In last year in the U.K. and we’re doing it again this year. But I was like, oh, I love the Japanese fan base, I love the Mexican fan base and the experiences I’ve had there. I’d love to bring our entire company there, and then Forbidden Door, they announced Wrestle Dynasty and I was like, ‘Yes!!! We’re going to the Tokyo Dome.’ So, that I think is so cool that we have that coming up. As somebody who has wrestled in Arena México, I really want for us to see if we could do a show there, and since we have CMLL-AEW crossover. That’s really where I see us moving in the future.

Nightingale wrestled at Arena México three times in 2024.

Willow is gearing up for AEW All In at Wembley Stadium where she’ll be tagging with Tomohiro Ishii to take on Kris Statlander and Stokely Hathaway.
