The 2024 G1 Climax reached its conclusion on Sunday.

In the finals, A Block winner Zack Sabre Jr. faced off with the victor of the B Block, Yota Tsuji.

8,056 fans were in attendance at Ryogoku Sumo Hall, Tokyo, for the nineteenth and final day of the annual tournament.

Zack Sabre Jr. emerged as the winner in a highly competitive 31-minute match, finally submitting Tsuji with the Clarky Cat.

However, there was to be a surprise from the Englishman, who is only the second non-Japanese winner of the G1, after Kenny Omega.

Sabre announced that he did not want to wait until January 4th at Wrestle Kingdom to have his shot at the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship.

Declaring that January was too far away, he said he wanted his title match at NJPW King of Pro Wrestling on October 14th at the site of Sunday’s victory, Sumo Hall.

He added backstage that he then intended to defend the title for the first time in London at Royal Quest IV on October 20th.

Earlier on the show, YOSHI-HASHI pinned David Finlay in a multi-man match and held up Finlay’s Global Championship afterward, signaling that he wanted a title shot.

EVIL attempted to recruit El Phantasmo to House of Torture. ELP refused, leading to a beatdown.
