NJPW has confirmed two championship matches for its Destruction in Kobe card next month.

Great O-Khan will challenge Tetsuya Naito for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship following the G1 Climax.

O-Khan pinned Naito last week to eliminate the current champion from the tournament. On Saturday, O-Khan was part of the United Empire’s win against LIJ members Naito, Hiromu Takahashi & BUSHI at Ryogoku Kokugikan where O-Khan raised Naito’s championship belt after the match.

The winner of the Kobe match will defend the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship against G1 Climax winner Zack Sabre Jr. on October 14 at King of Pro Wrestling.

NJPW has also announced an IWGP Global Heavyweight title match with David Finlay defending his title against YOSHI-HASHI at Destruction in Kobe. In a six-man match on Sunday’s G1 Climax final undercard, YOSHI-HASHI pinned the champion while teaming with Hirooki Goto & Tomoaki Honma against Finlay, Gabe Kidd & Jake Lee.

Destruction in Kobe takes place on September 29 at Kobe World Memorial Hall.
