Five title matches added to NXT No Mercy

The lineup for NXT No Mercy received numerous additions on Tuesday night, with a total of five matches being signed onto the lineup. The matches are joining a September 1 card from the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado.

The brand’s two top belts will be defended, with winners of #1 contender matches from Tuesday’s episode earning opportunities at the upcoming PLE.

TNA Wrestling’s Joe Hendry will get a chance to earn WWE gold when he challenges NXT Champion Ethan Page. Hendry overcame Wes Lee and Pete Dunne to secure the title opportunity this week, getting past interference tactics from Page to earn his win.

The win was big for fan favorite Hendry, who just picked up his first NXT singles win earlier this month against Joe Coffey.

Long-time NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez will put her more than 130-day reign as champ on the line when she faces Jaida Parker in a first-time singles matchup.

Parker overcame five other women in a gauntlet match to earn the opportunity. The theme for the match was to give Perez a new opponent, placing six wrestlers who had never challenged for the title in a #1 contender spot.

A rematch will take place in the tag division, as former champs Nathan Frazer and Axiom will meet newly-crowned NXT Tag Team Champions Andre Chase and Ridge Holland of Chase U. The belts changed hands in the main event of last week’s NXT TV, putting an end to the 126-day run that Frazer and Axiom had previously. They’ll try to start another stint at the top soon.

Both the men’s and women’s North American Championships will be on the line in Denver as well.

First-ever NXT Women’s North American Champion Kelani Jordan will try to extend her reign when she faces Wendy Choo. Jordan called Choo out after the recently-returning challenger defeated Lola Vice on TV this week.

Jordan has defended her title three times since first gaining the belt at NXT Battleground in June.

Men’s North American champ Oba Femi will meet The Family’s Tony D’Angelo for a singles match as well. Femi has been nothing short of a dominant champ, trying to defend his title for a 10th time when he meets D’Angelo next month.

Here’s a look at the lineup thus far:

  • Ethan Page vs. Joe Hendry (NXT Championship)
  • Roxanne Perez vs. Jaida Parker (NXT Women’s Championship)
  • Chase U (Andre Chase & Ridge Holland) vs. Nathan Frazer & Axiom (NXT Tag Team Championships)
  • Oba Femi vs. Tony D’Angelo (NXT North American Championship)
  • Kelani Jordan vs. Wendy Choo (NXT Women’s North American Championship)
