John Cena will always be a WWE guy, even long after his upcoming retirement tour.

The lengthy in-ring career of Cena will come to an official end next year, as the future WWE Hall of Famer will set out on a tour throughout 2025 which he predicts will last around 30-40 dates.

However, Cena recently said that he has already inked a new contract with WWE which extends past that point, keeping him around the brand even past his final time competing in the squared circle.

When asked about his business relationship with the WWE, Cena described his long-term plans with the promotion on the Club Shay Shay podcast.

“I have such a trustworthy relationship with them over two decades,” Cena said, about his time with WWE. “I am a champion of the brand. I love the company. It is my home, they are my family. Even after 2025, I’ve already signed an extension to remain a member of the WWE family for the near, mid, and long-term future. I don’t think there will be a beat of my heart where WWE doesn’t come out of.”

Cena announced his retirement earlier this year at Money In The Bank but outlined a long road toward his actual final match. He teased that his 2025 tour will include a “last” Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, and Wrestlemania appearance for him.

Earlier in the interview, Cena was asked about what he wants out of his retirement tour.

“I want it to be worth it,” he said. “And I don’t mean that I won’t get value from it, I’ll enjoy every second. I just want to justify it. I hope it is good for WWE’s business, I hope it continues to build the future of the brand and company. I hope the events are satisfying from an audience perspective. I hope everyone can come to these events and either relive memories they had over the past 23 years or make new memories.”
