The lineup for Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling’s return event is off to a great start.
Konosuke Takeshita is the latest name to join the upcoming “Forged In Excellence” card, a relaunch of the legendary Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling brand led by Scott D’Amore.
The booking sees Takeshita head to Ontario just a couple of months removed from his run in NJPW’s G1 Climax, where he became one of the tournament’s most discussed talents.
While no matchups have been named for “Forged In Excellence” yet, numerous notable wrestlers have been booked for the October 19, 20 doubleheader from St. Clair College in Windsor, Ontario. Others added to the show include El Phantasmo, Josh Alexander, KUSHIDA, and recent WWE talent Raj Dhesi.

Maple Leaf Wrestling was an important territory for wrestling, running beginning back in 1930 and running up until the mid-80s. The revival is D’Amore’s first major project since suddenly departing the TNA Wrestling team earlier this year.
“We’re bringing that legacy back with modern-day legends from WWE, New Japan, TNA, AEW and beyond,” D’Amore said in a press release earlier this month.
The event is scheduled to air on internet streaming service TrillerTV.
