Bryan Danielson def. Swerve Strickland to become AEW World Champion at All In

A new World Champion in AEW.

Headlining the 2024 installment of AEW All In at Wembley Stadium was Swerve Strickland defending the AEW World Championship against Bryan Danielson in a career versus title match. If Danielson were to lose, he would wrap up his in-ring career earlier than he intended.

Ringside for the match were Brie Garcia along with her and Danielson’s children, Buddy and Birdie. Swerve was performed to the ring by Flash Garments, Bun B and Westside Gunn.

During the bout, Strickland made Birdie shed tears as he was talking trash to her while beating her father down. Towards the backend of the match, Hangman Adam Page showed up to go after Strickland. He shoved Prince Nana to the ground and then security removed him from ringside.

Danielson hit a running knee onto Strickland but it garnered a two count. Ultimately, Danielson went on to submit Strickland to become AEW World Champion.

Newly crowned World Trios Champions Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta came to the ring and helped Danielson’s children over the guardrail so they could be with their father. Fellow Trios Champion PAC joined as well.

The show went off the air with Danielson celebrating in the ring with his wife and children.
