An update on Owens’ contractual status.
This past May, Kevin Owens was interviewed by the U.K. outlet Metro and revealed that he had nine months left on his WWE contract.
Sports Illustrated’s The Takedown section published a new piece on Owens and the outlet noted that Owens and WWE have not reached a new contractual agreement. Here’s an excerpt from the write-up:
During an interview with Metro UK back in May, Owens revealed that his current deal is set to expire in the early part of next year. He tells The Takedown on SI that the only change in his contract status since then is that there’s now less time on his deal.
Owens is gearing up to compete at the Bash in Berlin PLE. He’ll be challenging Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
