AEW Dynamite leads prime-time cable on Wednesday, minimal movement from last week

AEW Dynamite followed its critically acclaimed pay-per-view with similar audience figures from the go-home episode last week.

Dynamite from Champaign, Illinois, averaged 691,000 viewers and 301,000 viewers (0.22) in the 18-49 demographic, per Programming Insider & Wrestlenomics.

The show ranked first among prime-time cable programs while seeing a 1% decrease in viewership and a 4% decline in the core demo from last week’s taped show in Wales. It was the show’s lowest figures in the two categories since August 7.

Dynamite saw its 18-34 audience drop by 12% this week with an average of 99,000 viewers. Females in the demo dropped by 18% while males decreased by 8% from last week’s program.

Adults 35-54 were even with last week’s average of 202,000 viewers.

The show averaged 89,600 viewers in Canada with 57,700 in the 25-54 demographic on TSN 2, which were down 25% and 23% respectively from last week’s performance. Dynamite ranked #7 among sports programs on Wednesday and was #4 in the demo.

The show concluded with Bryan Danielson’s announcement that he wasn’t retiring yet, and will face Jack Perry at the All Out pay-per-view on September 7.
