Corbin thinks the fans are enjoying the new team.

As Baron Corbin made his way back onto the Friday Night SmackDown roster from NXT, he formed a partnership with Apollo Crews. They’ve been tagging since July.

Their last two matches took place prior to SmackDown going live on FOX. Corbin spoke about the new pairing while being interviewed by Scott Fishman of TV Insider. Corbin said he was initially ‘standoffish’ about it because he was not sure how it would compare to his team with Bron Breakker.

To me, it was wild (starting partnership with Apollo Crews). I showed up in Scotland (for SmackDown) and they told me I would run out and save Apollo that night. When they told me we were going to be a tag team, I was a little bit standoffish, to be honest. Coming from the Wolfdogs with Bron Breakker. That was so good and fun. I was worried this team wouldn’t live up to that, but I think people are excited and having fun with that tag team. The fans are getting this new version of me and a fresh version of Apollo. It has been fun. I love Apollo. I think he is one of the best competitors. I look forward to seeing where the team goes.

The duo of Breakker and Corbin won the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic and went on to capture the NXT Tag Team Championships.

Breakker is currently a part of the Raw roster and is reigning as Intercontinental Champion.
