Raymundo Mendoza Jr. (Villano V) passes away

CMLL formally announced the news.

It was sent out on social media by CMLL that Villano V, real name Raymundo Mendoza Jr., passed away at the age of 62. 

Mendoza Jr. tallied up 36 years as a wrestler. He last wrestled on August 16th at an independent show in Mexico. Mendoza Jr. began his in-ring career in 1976 and stopped through EMLL, New Japan Pro-Wrestling, CMLL, AAA, WCW and the National Wrestling Alliance.

He is a member of the wrestling family that includes four other Villanos, who are his real-life brothers.

Mendoza Jr. is one of seven siblings and is the fourth son in his family. Villano IV is the remaining brother as all of his siblings have passed away.

Mendoza Jr. won a handful of championships throughout his career in various promotions.
