May was still wrestling for STARDOM at the time.

After nine months of being a part of All Elite Wrestling full-time, Mariah May captured the AEW Women’s World Championship. She became champion in her home country of England at All In

Going into her title defense against Nyla Rose on the 9/4 Dynamite, Mariah joined Mostly Sports With Mark Titus and Brandon Walker. She mentioned that when the first AEW All In took place, she was signed to AEW. Mariah arrived to AEW TV in November of that year. At the time, she was working dates for STARDOM.

Well, it (wrestling at Wembley Stadium) really wasn’t a dream come true because I never thought it would happen. There wasn’t wrestling in Wembley for so long until AEW brought it back and then once they brought it back — so when they had their first show in Wembley, I was actually in Japan wrestling. But I was already signed to AEW so I was like, ‘I need to go. Even if I’m not on the show, I just wanna go and be around it,’ and then I won the World Championship. But it’s an amazing place.

The title defense against Rose will be Moriah’s first. Also on tap for the show is Will Ospreay, Orange Cassidy and Kyle O’Reilly taking on World Trios Champions PAC, Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta in a non-title match.
