Friday Night SmackDown ranked first among all programming in the 18-49 demographic while AEW Rampage posted one of its lowest audiences ever.

The television viewership figures were delayed due to Labor Day, but we have the results for Friday’s programming.

The August 30 edition of SmackDown, a taped show in Berlin, averaged 2,054,000 viewers and 718,000 (0.53) in the 18-49 demographic, which ranked first among all programming in the demo and seventh in overall viewership on Friday. (Programming Insider & Wrestlenomics)

It was nearly identical to last week’s SmackDown average of 2,050,000 viewers but dropped 3% in the demo from last week’s 739,000 viewers. In the demo, it topped the Temple vs. Oklahoma college football game (0.42) on ESPN, Let’s Make a Deal (0.20) on CBS, and the Big Ten Football game (0.20) on BTN.

SmackDown averaged 212,700 viewers and 59,600 in the 25-54 demographic on Sportsnet 360 in Canada, a drop from last week’s averages of 246,100 viewers and 107,700 in the demo. This past Friday’s episode ranked second among sports programming for the day.

The show featured a main event between Nia Jax and Michin for the Women’s Championship in a Street Fight.

AEW Rampage fell to the show’s second-lowest viewership in its three-year history with 218,000 viewers and 95,100 (0.07) in the 18-49 demographic. (Wrestlenomics)

The audience fell by 25% and the 18-49 audience declined by 28% from last week’s program.

The noteworthy competition was the two college football games that aired until 10:35 p.m. ET on ESPN and the Big Ten Network along with NBC’s coverage of the opening ceremonies for the Paralympics.

Rampage was headlined by a four-way match with Konosuke Takeshita beating Lio Rush, Komander, and Beast Mortos.
