AEW Collision saw a major decrease in its viewership airing against multiple college football games and hours after the WWE Bash in Berlin show.

The August 31 episode from Sioux Falls averaged 289,000 viewers and 139,000 (0.10) in the 18-49 demographic, according to Wrestlenomics.

It was the show’s lowest viewership (excluding pre-emptions) since it launched in June 2023. The audience decline from the previous week was 35%.

The 18-49 audience decreased by 18% with females dropping from 63,000 to 49,000 and males down from 106,000 to 90,000 this week. It was Collision’s lowest demo audience in its regular time slot since July 6 when it aired head-to-head with WWE Money in the Bank.

Collision experienced a 10% decrease in the 18-34 audience, although males posted a minor increase going from 17,000 to 19,000 this week. Females in the demo dropped by 23%.

Adults 35-49 dropped by 21% with an average viewership of 96,000.

Wrestlenomics reported that Collision ranked #19 among cable originals on Saturday against multiple college football games with ESPN most of the top slots. Historically, Collision has regularly been affected when it airs on the same day as a WWE premium live event and Bash in Berlin aired from 1 – 4 p.m. ET on Peacock.

This comes the same week that AEW Rampage posted the show’s second-lowest viewership in its history with 218,000 viewers this past Friday on TNT.

This week’s edition of Collision will air live on Friday and go head-to-head with the final episode of Friday Night SmackDown on Fox. AEW will occupy a 3 ½ hour block on TNT with Collision followed by Rampage and the Countdown to All Out.
