Ash by Elegance receives offer to participate in charity boxing fight

Ash finds the offer intriguing.

Ash by Elegance is a member of the TNA Wrestling talent roster and she’s been feuding with Jordynne Grace in pursuit of Grace’s Knockouts World Championship.

There’s been an opportunity presented to Ash to obtain another accolade outside of wrestling and that is to make her boxing debut. She told TMZ Sports that she received an offer to participate in a charity boxing fight.

That’s actually something that’s been on my bucket list. I would love to get in a boxing ring and throw some hands. When I had met Uly, I never boxed in my life and put those gloves on and it felt so amazing just to go all out and hit some pads and you know, do a little bit of sparring. It’s funny you had asked that because literally maybe two hours ago, an email came out and it was offering me a charity boxing match. I was like, ‘Hmm, this sounds a little interesting.’ So, never say never. I definitely think that’s a fun opportunity and it kind of goes hand in hand with what I’m doing. Especially with the ring shape. As you (Mojo Muhtadi) know, there’s no such thing as being in shape like it is in the ring. You can run on a treadmill, you can do as much training. It’s just nothing is like being in the ring. The cardio shape that you have to be in the ring is… nothing compares to it. You know that.

Following her response, she was asked if she thinks she could make the transition. Ash is married to 14-1 pro boxer Ulysses Diaz. She stated that she’s always doing boxing training, but needs to work on her footwork and defense.

You know something, I always try and incorporate boxing into my training routine. So I’m always constantly doing work, hitting pads, hitting mitts. I definitely have to work on a little bit of footwork and a little bit of defense and stuff like that but, once you get in — I definitely would take a fight with headgear. Let’s not be silly right off the bat. This is money right here and I would have to take off my nails for sure. Don’t wanna poke someone’s eye out. Definitely take some baby steps and see how I like it. I’ve always been super big on never say never. You know, definitely give everything a chance and you never wanna know or think, what if I could have done it? What if I should have done it? Just go out there and give it a try and if you don’t like it, then, reel it on back it.

Ash most recently challenged for the Knockouts World Championship when she clashed with Jordynne in a ‘Match by Elegance.’ Grace retained the title. They met once again in a six-woman tag at Emergence and Grace’s team secured the win.
