Bailey looking to get the title back.
It was at TNA Emergence that ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey’s second reign as X Division Champion came to an end. He lost the belt in an Ultimate X match and coming out of the bout with the title was Zachary Wentz.
That same weekend, Wentz was in action at NXT No Mercy and defeated Wes Lee.
As he was in the ring on the 9/5 TNA iMPACT, Wentz was approached by Bailey. The former champion is invoking his rematch clause and stated that he’ll see Wentz at Victory Road on 9/13 for the X Division Title. They shook on it, but were interrupted by The Good Hands (John Skyler & Jason Hotch).
This led to an impromptu tag match which Wentz and Bailey won. Here’s the updated card for Victory Road:
