Shingo Takagi’s 20th Anniversary Results (9/7/24): Tetsuya Naito agrees to defend title against Takagi

Naito wants to give Takagi a shot at the belt.

The 20th anniversary of Shingo Takagi’s in-ring debut was celebrated at an event that New Japan Pro-Wrestling hosted on September 7th. It emanated from Imesse Yamanashi in Kofu City, Japan. There were 1,678 people in attendance.

The headlining match saw Takagi team with BUSHI and Dragongate’s YAMATO to take on Hiromu Takahashi, Yota Tsuji and IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Tetsuya Naito. The bout resulted in a 30-minute time limit draw. Afterwards, Naito agreed to defend the World Title against Takagi. Below are the results:

Naito has two title matches coming up. He’ll be defending against Great-O-Khan at Destruction in Kobe and if he is to retain, he’ll be facing G1 Climax 34 winner Zack Sabre Jr. at Royal Quest IV in London, England.
