Belair says Ford has everything it takes to be at the top level.

To promote WWE Week on USA Network, the reigning Women’s Tag Team Champions Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair guest appeared on The Ringer Wrestling Show

Among the conversational topics that were delved into was the future of The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins). Belair spoke highly of her husband and feels Ford has everything it takes to be at the top. She shared that he feels guilty at times when thinking of making the move to singles competition.

Belair went on to add that she feels Ford and Dawkins do not get the credit they deserve as a tag team.

Yeah, I mean, he’s ready (Belair said about Montez Ford). He is rea-dy. He loves being in a tag team. Dawks is like his brother and sometimes, he goes back-and-forth. He’s ready then he gets guilty. He feels guilty because he’s like, ‘That’s my brother. I should wanna do as much as I can in this tag team…’ But he’s ready. I always tell him, it’s just not a matter of if, it’s just a matter of when. All that man needs is the opportunity and he will skyrocket and he’s been there for me when I main evented WrestleMania. I remember that WrestleMania, he was supposed to have a match and then they didn’t have a match and I main evented WrestleMania so, to see how he put aside, like, he was husband before he was WWE superstar. Husband before work so I can’t wait until I can do the same thing for him. I can’t wait until I can be there to support him the way that he’s been there for me but, it’s crazy, you know? He downplays himself so much though sometimes. I’m like, I have to remind him, ‘You are a Triple Crown Champion.’ They are an amazing tag team. I feel like they don’t get the credit sometimes that they deserve as a tag team. People forget what they’ve accomplished as a tag team. But, it’s gonna happen and when it happens, it’s gonna be colossal, it’s gonna be big. That’s another thing of just timing. I tell him all the time, it’s just timing. It’s timing. Like, ‘Listen, you have a long career and when it happens, it’s gonna be great.’ I don’t know if it’s gonna happen now, I don’t know if it’s gonna happen when I’m off and with a big belly, pregnant… I’m ready for him to go out there and really let loose and showcase what he can do. But it’s gonna happen. It’s gonna happen and I can’t wait because he has everything. He has everything that someone that needs to be at the top level. He has it and everybody sees it. It’s funny though, I was like, ‘Okay, the longer they keep holding off, it’s just gonna keep brewing more and more and more so, just let it keep getting as big as possible.’

The Street Profits will be looking to become two-time NXT Tag Team Champions when they head back to the brand on 9/10. They’ll be challenging Nathan Frazer and Axiom for the titles.

On the Belair and Cargill front, they successfully defended the Women’s Tag Titles against Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn on the 9/9 Raw.
