Wendy Choo to face Jordynne Grace at TNA Victory Road

Wendy Choo will be the latest WWE name to make the trip over to TNA Wrestling.

Choo will appear at Friday’s TNA Victory Road pay-per-view in a title fight against long-time Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace. The match was announced Wednesday, just hours after Choo and TNA ally Rosemary attacked Grace on NXT TV.

Grace called for a title match via social media following the recent attack:

“I have made it clear since I won this title that I’m willing to defend it against any and all challengers,” Grace said. “But some people just can’t seem to wait their turn. Wendy Choo, it’s obvious that you want a title shot, and I’m gonna give that to you this Friday at Victory Road. Not for you, but for me. Because the best part about Victory Road is that it’s in San Antonio, Texas, my home state. And I’m more than happy to defend my title and beat your a** in front of my entire family.”

Grace has held the TNA Knockouts title for nearly all of 2024, first capturing the belt back in January with a victory over Trinity (now known in the WWE as Naomi). She has defended her belt more than a dozen times, including against NXT names like Karmen Petrovic and Tatum Paxley.

The match this weekend will be Choo’s first in-ring appearance since an unsuccessful challenge for Kelani Jordan’s NXT Women’s North American title earlier this month at No Mercy.

Here’s an updated look at Friday’s Victory Road card:

  • Nic Nemeth vs. Moose (TNA World Championship)
  • Jordynne Grace vs. Wendy Choo (TNA Knockouts World Championship)
  • Josh Alexander vs. Joe Hendry
  • The Malisha (Alisha Edwards & Masha Slamovich) vs. Spitfire (Dani Luna & Jodi Threat) (TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championships)
  • ABC (Ace Austin & Chris Bey) vs. The System (Brian Myers & Eddie Edwards) (TNA World Tag Team Championships)
