Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns will put their storied rivalry to the side in hopes of overcoming The Bloodline next month.
Rhodes and Reigns will team up to face The Bloodline’s Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu at WWE Bad Blood on October 5 from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
While it has been made clear that there is still tension between Rhodes and Reigns, they have agreed to work together to face The Bloodline. They both signed a contract to face Sikoa and Fatu in the final segment on Friday’s Smackdown.
The match gives both the current champ and former champ a chance to gain a win over The Bloodline, who has constantly done run-ins and beatdowns of the prominent wrestlers.
The match could be the in-ring return for Reigns, who has been out of action since his lengthy run as Undisputed WWE Champion came to an end at Wrestlemania 40 with a loss to Rhodes.
The booking is Smackdown’s first addition to Bad Blood thus far. Here’s how the show looks currently:
- Cody Rhodes & Roman Reigns vs. Solo Sikoa & Jacob Fatu
- Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley (WWE Women’s World Championship)
- CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre (Hell In A Cell Match)
- Finn Balor vs. Damian Priest
