Barnett’s return to NOAH.
Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan played host to Pro Wrestling NOAH’s ‘Star Navigation’ show on 9/14. Coming out of the show, announcements were rolled out for their October 14th show.
One of the announcements had to do with Josh Barnett’s return to the promotion. The former UFC Heavyweight Champion will be tagging with Ulka Sasaki to take on Katsuyuki Fujita and Masakatsu Funaki.
Barnett debuted for NOAH in September 2023 as the N-1 Victory tournament was taking place. He bested Masakatsu Funaki in a GHC Martial Arts Rules match.
In addition to the Barnett announcement, NOAH pushed out the following matches for their 10/14 event:
- GHC Heavyweight Championship: Kaito Kiyomiya (c) vs. Masa Kitamiya
- GHC National Championship: Manabu Soya (c) vs. El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr.
- AKIRA, Shiro Koshinaka & Akitoshi Saito vs. Muhammad Yone, Go Shiozaki & Atsushi Kotoge
Also on the docket for Barnett is he’ll be competing against MVP at Bloodsport in November.
