A prime Kurt Angle versus GUNTHER.

The reigning WWE World Heavyweight Champion is GUNTHER. He’s been in possession of the title for a month and his sole televised title defense took place at Bash in Berlin against Randy Orton.

Praise was placed onto GUNTHER by Kurt Angle, who partook in a virtual signing for K & S WrestleFest. Angle spoke highly of GUNTHER’s in-ring ability and thinks if he was in his prime, a match between them would be ranked alongside the matches that Angle has had with Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit.

Great talent (Angle said about GUNTHER). I love his talent. He is (a throwback) and he’s a great technician. Really good. I don’t wanna be in front of any of his chops though.

Yes, yes (I would have looked forward to that match in my prime). I think it’d be a really good match. I would put it up there with Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit. I think he’s really that good.

Angle and GUNTHER shared the ring when Angle refereed a six-man tag at Raw XXX in 2023.

The next challenger that has stepped up to GUNTHER is Sami Zayn. The World Champion denied Zayn twice and the most recent occasion happened on the 9/9 Monday Night Raw.
