He is expected to be back in action imminently.

It was in late August that eight-time AJPW Triple Crown Heavyweight Champion Suwama was pulled from in-ring competition due to dizziness.

The recommendation to step away from the ring was per doctor’s orders. Suwama had been experiencing symptoms for six months, but he continued to wrestle despite that.

Since his break, the symptoms have calmed down and he’s been given the green light to wrestle. Suwama told Tokyo Sports that he’ll try to balance wrestling while dealing with the symptoms.

The dizziness symptoms have finally calmed down. The doctor just gave me the OK to wrestle. The doctor said, ‘You can move your body more and more.’

I’ll try to see if I can live with it. I thought I would not be able to participate in the 20th anniversary event (scheduled for October) because of Shuji Ishikawa’s refusal, but I hope this will go in a good direction.

Suwama is 47 years of age and has tallied up 19 years as a wrestler. He most recently wrestled on August 24th. there is no word on when exactly it is that he’ll be returning to in-ring action.
