The event is scheduled for December 2024.
There was a press conference held on September 11th in Shanghai. It was unveiled that an Antonio Inoki Memorial Event is taking place in Shanghai, China on December 14th.
China-based wrestling promotions Dragon Fighting Wrestling, Infin Pro-Wrestling and Hong Kong Wrestling Federation are going to be joined by representation from NJPW and the Inoki Genome Federation in Japan.
NJPW Chairman Naoki Sugabayashi was present and talked about what an honor it is for NJPW to be part of the event. More information will be available at a later date.
Inoki passed away in the fall of 2022. Prior to his passing, NJPW planned on announcing him as their Honorary Chairman for life. A movie about him was released in 2023.
