Reported details about AEW’s television deal with WBD.

John Ourand rolled out the newest edition of his newsletter, The Varsity. He wrote about AEW’s television deal with Warner Bros. Discovery and noted that a package is ‘close’ to being finalized to renew All Elite Wrestling.

Ourand notes that a formal announcement could come as soon as next week, barring any last-minute changes. He added that the deal ‘looks like’ it’ll be for four years with three of those guaranteed. There’s an option attached to that as well.

The number that is floating around is $170 million per year. Ourand noted that AEW programming will air on TNT, TBS and TruTV twice a week. According to the newsletter, AEW is also pitching another package to broadcast channels but there is no timetable for when they’ll start to push that deal.

At the AEW All Out media scrum, company President Tony Khan stated that there’s a 90 percent chance that a media rights deal will be announced within the next month.
