WWE Raw experienced an uptick in viewership during its second week since the return of Monday Night Football.

The September 16 episode of Raw from Portland averaged 1,509,000 viewers and 653,000 viewers (0.49) in the 18-49 demographic, according to Wrestlenomics and Programming Insider.

Raw’s viewership grew by 6% while the demo audience increased by 8% this week due to the Monday Night Football game not being simulcast on ABC like last week’s game.

The Atlanta Falcons vs. Philadelphia Eagles averaged 13,655,000 viewers and a massive 4.01 rating in the core demo on ESPN along with 1,342,000 and 0.47 for Peyton & Eli on ESPN2, and 40,000 and 0.02 on ESPN Deportes. Last week’s game was watched by an average of 20.5 million viewers across ABC, ESPN, ESPN2 & ESPN Deportes.

Raw ranked second on cable on Monday behind ESPN’s coverage of the game and narrowly edged out Peyton & Eli.

Raw opened with 1,618,000 viewers and 0.53 in the 18-49 demographic for the first hour including CM Punk beginning the program. It decreased to 1,541,000 and 0.50 in the second hour and dropped to 1,367,000 and 0.43 in the third hour featuring a main event between Damian Priest and Dominik Mysterio.

Raw also saw a significant decline in its Canadian viewership averaging 249,500 viewers and 106,400 in the 25-54 demographic – decreases of 24% and 22% respectively from last week and was Raw’s lowest audience in the country since July 22. The show ranked second among sports programs on Monday behind the Monday Night Football game.
