Miro has reportedly requested his release from AEW.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reports that Miro (Miroslav Barnyashev) has requested his release after four years of wrestling for AEW.

The report adds that Miro was sidelined following last year’s Worlds End pay-per-view but “had been healthy for quite some time.”

Miro has wrestled infrequently over the past several years with four matches in 2022, seven in 2023, and has yet to wrestle in 2024.

The 38-year-old worked for WWE from 2010 through 2020 when he was among many cuts during the early stages of the pandemic.

There is no confirmation whether AEW has or will grant Miro his release. Fightful added that Miro signed a four-year extension with AEW around the spring of 2022.
