Ahead of Mayu versus Toni for the IWGP Women’s Title, they’ll cross paths in a tag match.
‘Timeless’ Toni Storm is returning to in-ring action for STARDOM and on the marquee for her comeback to the promotion is she’ll be challenging Mayu Iwatani for the IWGP Women’s Championship in October.
Ahead of that bout, it was announced that Storm will be in action at STARDOM’s September 28th show. Storm is set to team with Mina Shirakawa and they’ll be facing AZM and Iwatani.
The connection between Storm and Shirakawa is made by the reigning AEW Women’s World Champion Mariah May. May has invited Shirakawa back to AEW and the invitation was accepted. It was at AEW All In that Shirakawa watched May defeat Storm to become Women’s World Champion.
May is going to be in action at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam as she’ll be defending her belt against Yuka Sakazaki.
