Takahashi wants to run it back.

The second bout of the night at NJPW Destruction in Kobe saw Hiromu Takahashi score the win for Los Ingobernables de Japon in a six-man tag.

During Takahashi’s backstage comments, he threw out the challenge to CMLL’s Místico. Takahashi called his shot for NJPW King of Pro-Wrestling on October 14th at Ryōgoku Sumo Hall.

Their most recent match took place over the summer at CMLL x NJPW Fantasticamania México. They headlined the show and Místico got the victory. Prior to that, they wrestled in August 2023 for the NWA World Historic Middleweight Championship and the match resulted in a double pin.

If the challenge is accepted, here’s a look at the updated match card for King of Pro-Wrestling:

  • IWGP World Heavyweight Championship: TBD (c) vs. Zack Sabre Jr.
  • Místico vs. Hiromu Takahashi
