She’s been thinking about a LayCool reunion.

For two years in WWE, Layla and Michelle McCool were a duo known as LayCool. Both held the company’s Women’s and Divas Championships.

A new episode of They Made Their Way To The Ring was released and it featured an interview with Layla. She stated that she is okay with not being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame and feels there are many wrestlers who should be in there that are not. She added that it would be a stamp of approval on her career.

She went on to state that she would love to be inducted alongside Michelle McCool. The two-time Women’s Champion expressed that she’s game for a LayCool reunion. She feels herself and Michelle owe it to each other and their fans.

Of course. It (WWE Hall of Fame induction) would be a stamp of approval, I guess, of my career, if my career was significant in WWE but, I’m okay and I’m trying to say this in a very politically correct way because I don’t wanna offend anybody. I’m okay if I don’t get inducted into the Hall of Fame, because I feel like there are many, many wrestlers that should be in (that) haven’t been and if that wasn’t for me, I totally understand that. I am okay with walking away saying, I had a great WWE career. I was able to see everything I saw, have the life experience that I’ve had and I’m okay with it if that makes sense. Of course, I would love it. I would love to be inducted with Michelle (McCool). I really would because I felt like that was the most significant and highest point of my WWE career. I would love for LayCool to be inducted but, if it doesn’t happen, I’m okay with that, and thank you to everybody who has ever supported me, anybody who was ever a fan, anything like that. Having to job every day, it’s okay. Everyone’s entitled to their opinion. It’s whether you get a reaction or not. If I don’t get a reaction, you know what I mean? I understand but, I’m just grateful… I am (content with how things went). I’ve made peace with it and who knows what the future holds? Who knows? You never know.

I would love — actually, I’ve been thinking about it a lot. I’ve been debating. I actually feel like I would like to do a LayCool reunion. Even if it’s just for a one-night… I told you I really was done and I was like, ‘No.’ But I feel like Michelle and I owe it to each other and I feel like we owe it to the LayCool fans who would like to just see us one more time, if it’s possible. But I think I would and I would love to be in the (WWE 2K) game. Of course, of course. I think it would be great, it would be flawless (she laughed).

Elsewhere during the chat, Layla heaped praise onto Natalya and described her as one of the most helpful talents that anyone could ask for. Layla agreed with the point that Natalya will end up being inducted into the Hall of Fame.

I can’t say that, oh, I was looking at this diva. I wanted to be like her. But, I was fortunate that I was able to watch women and the divas out there, that I was able to watch them and say, ‘Oh, okay’ and I was also in the ring with them when we were practicing or when we were just training on the road so… Nattie was a huge help. Nattie was a huge, huge help. She was one of the most giving divas that anyone can ask for and I’m being really honest. She’s so giving to everybody. She wants everyone to succeed and she does. She gives a lot… I always had a great time with Nattie. We’ve had many matches. I always had a great time with Nattie.

I agree with you 100 percent (that Natalya will be inducted into WWE HOF). She does deserve that, and I actually think she will get that. I actually do. I do think she’s one of the only ones that will get that. I do think she’ll be inducted into the Hall of Fame before her career is over and she’s great, she’s a legend. I have nothing but positive things to say about Nattie and I wish her the best of luck. I hope she gets it. I really do.

Layla was the final WWE Women’s Champion before the title name was brought back for the belt that Nia Jax is currently in possession of on SmackDown.

As of this writing, Layla’s last match was in 2015 against Saraya. She shared that she was asked to participate in the 2022 women’s Royal Rumble.
