She stated that the women wrestlers of today should be lucky they do not have to do that.

For nine years, Layla was a part of the WWE talent roster. Throughout her time with the company, she captured the Divas and Women’s Championships.

She did a deep dive into her run in WWE as she guest appeared on They Made Their Way To The Ring. She looked back at the occasions when she participated in bikini contests on television.

She said she ‘despised’ those and it was very uncomfortable when she looks back at it. Layla added that the talents of today are lucky they do not have to do that.

I actually didn’t like the bikini — I’ll be honest with you, I despised — I was so happy when those bikini contest things went because it was just — honestly, it was very uncomfortable when I look back. It’s really, really, ugh. But, at that time, that’s what we were offered and I still feel like we did the best with what we were given and it’s evolved and now it’s wrestling, which is great. The girls should be lucky that they don’t have to do that to be honest with you (she laughed).

In the same interview, Layla expressed interest in reuniting with Michelle McCool. She’d love if they were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as LayCool.
