Billy Corgan states that as long as he owns NWA, they are not going anywhere

A message from Corgan.

Over the next five weeks, the National Wrestling Alliance’s Powerrr program will be airing on X. They are rolling out content from their 76th Anniversary show that took place in late August. PWInsider reported that September 30th was the last day that NWA content would be available on The CW app.

Kicking off the first episode on X was NWA owner Billy Corgan. While speaking about the history of the organization, he stated that Raw General Manager and five-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion Adam Pearce is welcome to step back into an NWA ring when he’s ready.

Corgan went on to share that he invited Shane Douglas to the taping, but Douglas declined. He stated that all great champions do not want to admit they’re wrong. It was at the 2300 Arena in 1994 when Douglas threw away the NWA Title. Corgan said the ring is always open to Douglas, but thinks he should have been present to face the people.

To close, Corgan said as long as he owns the organization, they are not going anywhere. If someone wants to take it from him, they’ll have to pry it out of his cold, dead hands.
