Michaels checked up on Wentz during that time period.

In April 2022, Zachary Wentz f.k.a. Nash Carter was released from WWE. He was the subject of several allegations by his ex-significant other and fellow wrestler, Kimber Lee.

She accused Wentz of physically assaulting her while he was ‘wasted.’ She then shared a photo of Wentz appearing to do a Nazi salute with his moustache being shaved like Hitler’s. Wentz would release a statement on the matter and expressed how ashamed and apologetic he was for the photo. He believes Lee posted it in retaliation to him filing for divorce.

Wentz was interviewed by Metro and told the outlet that he thought he’d never wrestle again after those series of events unfolded.

I really thought that I was never going to wrestle again. And it was pretty dark, but at the same time, you can’t live in that misery. You right your wrongs, you pick yourself up, you go through that whole process… People see your heart, and they know who you are as a human being.

He went on to add that he was in contact with NXT overseer Shawn Michaels after everything and Michaels has been ‘very good’ with checking on him.

Me and Shawn (Michaels) have been in contact since everything. He’s been very good at checking on me.

Wentz will be in action for the NXT brand at their CW premiere show. He is scheduled to clash with former partner Wes Lee in a Street Fight.
