A message directly from Taz.
At the Five Year Anniversary edition of AEW Dynamite, it was announced that Taz would not be on commentary because he was ambushed in a parking lot. It was said that he flew back to New York as a result.
Taking to X, Taz revealed that he’s scheduled to undergo total knee replacement surgery.
Unfortunately, I will be out for awhile. I’ll be having total knee replacement surgery very soon. Talk to you guys down the road. 👊
The ‘attack’ on Taz is being attributed to someone and it’ll play out on AEW television. Taz’s son HOOK was interviewed on Dynamite and said he’s coming after the person(s) who went after his father. He insinuated that he knew who it was.
At Dynamite Grand Slam, HOOK retired the FTW Championship and handed it over to Taz.
