Castagnoli also spoke about possibly not becoming AEW World Champion.

The next edition of AEW Dynamite is airing on Tuesday and it is being billed as Title Tuesday. One of the matches on the bill is World Trios Champions Claudio Castagnoli and PAC taking on one-third of the Trios Champions Wheeler Yuta and the current AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson.

Danielson being removed from Blackpool Combat Club took place at the All Out pay-per-view, where he was blindsided by Castagnoli. Jon Moxley then put a plastic bag over his head in an attempt to suffocate him.

Ahead of the tag match, Castagnoli was interviewed by Rick Ucchino of The Takedown on Sports Illustrated. He expressed his thought that Blackpool Combat Club had been going through the motions prior to their recent on-screen change. He added that he can tell Moxley has found that proverbial fire again.

I feel he needed that time off to kind of reconnect with himself and find his purpose, so to speak, or regain his purpose. I can’t speak for Jon (Moxley), but I felt like the last couple months before he came back — you know we always have the ‘Be Real’ on our shirts, I didn’t really feel real. It felt like, okay, we’re just kind of going through the motions. Something was missing. And with Jon, I can definitely tell that since he came back, he found that fire again.

When it comes to individual aspirations, he commented on the AEW World Championship. The older he gets, the more he realizes that focusing on one single goal can be a detriment. He added that not everyone can be the main character.

Everybody should aspire to be the World Heavyweight Champion. I think I may have realized as I’m getting older, that-that single-minded focus can actually be a big detriment to me. Not everybody is the main character. Not everybody can be the hero of the story. So to me, it is how can I make the most impact?

The Title Tuesday edition of Dynamite kicks off at 9 PM EST. AEW is one week removed from their new rights deal with Warner Bros. Discovery being announced.
