The Grammy Award-winning artist talks being in attendance.
Over the weekend, the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia hosted WWE’s Bad Blood Premium Live Event. Among the notable names, wrestling legends and celebrities in attendance were the likes of Killer Mike, Quavo, Lil Baby, Pierre ‘P’ Thomas, Lil Yachty, Jacqueline Moore, Sean ‘X-Pac’ Waltman, Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard among others.
Killer Mike was shown at the start of the show and was seated next to WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg. Mike told Variety that it was cool sitting next to Goldberg and his family.
It was dope, sitting next to him and his family (at WWE Bad Blood). Goldberg was one of those character(s) that was just perfect for wrestling. He brought excitement to the ring.
He went on to speak about the connection between pro wrestling and Hip-Hop. He said it’s exactly what it should be and described both as theater for the working-class people.
It’s exactly what it should be (connection between wrestling and Hip-Hop). I remember being a kid, if you weren’t into playing the big three; baseball, basketball or football, you were one of the kids that was into comic books and/or wrestling and/or Hip-Hop. It’s working-class people’s theater. It gives us an opportunity to get our sh*t off, whether it’s our highest ambitions or lowest of the lows. These character(s) represent that for us. It’ll be forever dope. WWE put together some dope product. I’ve enjoyed it my entire life — shout-out to my wrestling heads.
WWE is beginning to roll out promotional material for their two-night SummerSlam 2025 event in New Jersey. There’s an ad that’s been released featuring Bianca Belair and Grammy Award-winning rapper Cardi B.
