He thinks the match would be more than what people expect.

Content to promote NXT’s arrival to The CW Network continues to be rolled out. The Going Ringside podcast pushed out a new sit-down chat with North American Champion Oba Femi.

A conversation started about potential main roster opponents for Femi and one of the names he mentioned is the reigning World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER. He thinks the match would be poetry and would not be just ‘mindless chops’ like some would expect.

Main roster (talents I’d like to face), Randy (Orton), John Cena hopefully before he retires and leaves us alone. GUNTHER, Drew McIntyre.

I feel like that’s what everybody’s expecting (for myself & GUNTHER to just beat each other up if we wrestled) but it’s going to be more than that. I feel like if me and GUNTHER got in the same ring, it’s going to be poetry. It’s not going to be mindless chops. There’s going to be a lot more to it.

Femi is officially the longest-reigning NXT North American Champion of all-time. His next title defense is taking place on the 10/8 NXT against Tony D’Angelo.
