Rob Van Dam confirms he’s under WWE Legends contract

Van Dam under contract with WWE.

The most recent occasion that Rob Van Dam appeared for WWE was at their 9/13 SmackDown on USA Network show. He was seated front row and later revealed that he filmed interviews for future WWE content. Prior to that, in 2023, Van Dam announced picks for the Draft.

There’s a new interview with Van Dam that was conducted by the Cheap Heat Productions Podcast. He confirmed he’s under a Legends contract.

Dating back to August 2023, Van Dam has made multiple appearances for All Elite Wrestling. He explained that he was able to do those because they were per-appearance agreements just to wrestle.

The first time that I talked to Tony Khan about doing this (working with AEW), a factor was that I still have a WWE Legends deal. So, my use to AEW would be limited as far as they can’t put me on video games, action figures, stuff like that and so, you could say it’s limited on both ends or you could say I got both ends going, best of both worlds or you could just say RVD does whatever he wants.

Van Dam last wrestled for AEW on their 4/20 edition of Rampage and picked up a win in a four-way elimination match.

Names such as Diamond Dallas Page, Armando Alejandro Estrada, Jacqueline Moore and Lisa Marie Varon have announced their Legends deals over the last several months.
