A new North American Champion crowned.
One of two championship matches on the night during the 10/8 NXT on CW was Oba Femi putting the North American Championship on the line against Tony D’Angelo.
Femi recently secured the record for the longest-reigning North American Champion of all-time.
Going into their title match, D’Angelo admitted he was afraid of Femi because of how their match turned out at No Mercy. In their second go-round, D’Angelo was able to trap Femi in a deep pin to secure the win and to end Femi’s reign.
D’Angelo has held the Heritage Cup, NXT Tag Titles on two occasions and is now the North American Champion.
