Jericho questioned why McGuinness was insulting Danielson.

At AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam, Nigel McGuinness and Bryan Danielson kicked off the show. It took place one day after the 13-year anniversary of their second to last match.

The latest bout was discussed when Nigel McGuinness chatted with Chris Jericho for his Talk Is Jericho podcast. As their conversation went on, Jericho recounted when he learned that Danielson and McGuinness would be wrestling each other.

But it was funny because we were discussing something in Tony’s office with Bryan (Danielson)… It was for a segment on Dynamite or something where you were interviewing him and Swerve (Strickland) and you were insulting Bryan and whatever it was. You remember better than I, and I remember saying, ‘Why are you having Nigel insult you? It’s not like we’re gonna have a Nigel-Bryan match’ and he goes, ‘Well… we are’ and I was like, ‘Oh! Totally didn’t even see it coming’ because once again, I thought that you just couldn’t wrestle.

Elsewhere during the podcast appearance, McGuinness addressed the possibility of wrestling again and to read his remarks, head over to this link.
