Conglomeration vs. Undisputed Kingdom

This week’s edition of Rampage kicked off with The Conglomeration’s Orange Cassidy and Kyle O’Reilly taking on Matt Taven and Mike Bennett of Undisputed Kingdom. Cassidy and O’Reilly were in control much of the early goings with Taven and Bennett unable to find an offensive position.

Finally, UK was able to go on the offensive but the tide swung back as The Conglomeration utilized double-team maneuvers.

Ultimately, The Conglomeration picked up the victory with Kyle O’Reilly cinching in a guillotine on Mike Bennett was Orange Cassidy nailed Matt Taven with the Orange Punch. After the match, all four men shook hands.

Mercedes & Kamille

Renee Paquette interviewed Mercedes Moné and Kamille and Mercedes said that Kamille would be watching Kris Statlander’s match tonight.

MxM Blindside The Acclaimed

The Acclaimed were out next but were jumped on the ramp by MxM Collection. MxM ripped Caster’s jacket that they had designed and smashed Bowens’ head into the entrance tunnel. Mansoor got on the mic and yelled that The Acclaimed took their Grand Slam moment away and challenged them to a match tomorrow night at WrestleDream and they would take Acclaimed’s spot. They said that they were going to have a “very special surprise” third man and he is going to make sure that they “kill scissoring and burying it once and for all”.

Where Everything Went Wrong for Kris Statlander

A Kris Statlander promo package aired with her saying everything went wrong for her when Mercedes Moné showed up.

Conglomeratin’

Renee Paquette interviewed The Conglomeration and asked how Rocky Romero felt going into his match against Bryan Keith. Romero said that he wasn’t a lackey like Chris Jericho said this past Wednesday. Romero asked Cassidy and O’Reilly to stay in the back so he could handle business.

Kris Statlander “In Action”

Kris Statlander defeated Amira in under a minute as Kamille watched on from backstage. The previous Mercedes interview made it seem like Kamille would be ringside for this match but for some reason that didn’t happen.

Chris Jericho, The Nueve

Renee Paquette interviewed Chris Jericho backstage and asked him about making his ROH Championship match tomorrow night so personal.

Beast Mortos vs. The Butcher

Roderick Strong was on commentary for this match and Excalibur noted that even though Undisputed Kingdom wanted Mortos in their ranks, he had seemingly joined up with Rush recently.

Mortos picked up the victory by using a backbreaker and then a flying twisting headbutt for the victory. Interesting to note that Mortos used a backbreaker playing into the story that Roderick Strong still feels he has a claim to Mortos’ allegiance. Jake “The Snake” Roberts was also shown backstage, pressed with Mortos’ win.

Harley Blames Anna Jay

Next, Renee Paquette conducted yet another interview backstage in which Harley Cameron blamed Anna Jay for what happened to Saraya, despite her not even being there.

The Newest Don Callis Family Member

Lance Archer was out next with Don Callis on commentary. Archer took on Matt Brannigan and decimated him, winning with the Blackout in just over two minutes.

Matadors or Ninjas?

A backstage promo from this past Tuesday featured Jake Roberts fronting LFI’s Rush, Dralistico, and Beast Mortos.

Anna Jay Responds

Backstage, Anna Jay responded to Harley Cameron saying that she takes care of herself.

Bryan Keith vs. Rocky Romero

The Rampage main event saw The Bad Apple Bryan Keith taking on The Conglomeration’s Rocky Romero. Keith jumped Romero before the bell and gained an early advantage.

Before long, Big Bill appeared at ringside and attacked Romero behind the referee’s back.

This led to a Diamond Dust by Bryan Keith and he was victorious in 10:28. Big Bill and Bryan Keith celebrated as Orange Cassidy and Kyle O’Reilly ran out to help Rocky Romero as the show went off the air.

Announced for WrestleDream Zero Hour Tomorrow Night:

  • MxM Collection vs. The Acclaimed
  • Anna Jay vs. Harley Cameron

Final Thoughts

One has to wonder how many episodes of Rampage are left at this point and if they are indeed sunsetting the brand, will they let it peter out or will they try to build up to a big grand finale? As of now, it seems like they are content letting it fizzle as even the matches lately have just been decent. In the past, there have been really great matches on this show, and lately, it’s a deflating watch.
