Swerve Strickland’s appearance in front of his home crowd at AEW WrestleDream was interrupted.
As Swerve told his fans that he was medically cleared, out came MVP and Shelton Benjamin.
MVP made a pitch to Swerve to join his stable and leave Prince Nana behind. Strickland spoke about his recent losses, including the destruction of his childhood home, which came under Nana’s management.
He also hinted that some money had gone missing and discussed his history with MVP, including his role in blazing a trail for Black wrestlers.
Swerve also mentioned his 2018 match with MVP for DEFY Wrestling.
In the end, though, Swerve said that Nana was “family” and that MVP could shove his business cards up his ass.

This led to Shelton Benjamin telling Swerve he had misread the situation, and that he was not being offered a choice. Officials broke things up before any physicality.
