Narita’s first singles title in NJPW.
There was a three-way match that took place at NJPW King of Pro-Wrestling during which the World Television Championship was up for grabs.
Jeff Cobb went into the match as champion and defended against Yota Tsuji and Ren Narita.
Towards the conclusion of the bout, Cobb hit Tsuji with a Tour of the Islands. The referee was pulled out of the ring by Narita before a three count was made.
While the referee was down, Narita countered out of the Tour of the Islands and went on to hit Cobb with a push-up bar. That secured him the win and his first singles title in NJPW.
