Ivar and Erik are back.
Monday Night Raw General Manager Adam Pearce sanctioned a number one contender’s tournament to determine the next challenger to Finn Bálor and J.D. McDonagh’s WWE World Tag Team Championships.
The first match of the tournament saw Alpha Academy (Akira Tozawa & Otis) take on the returning Ivar and Erik, who’ve reverted to their War Raiders name and theme song that they had in NXT.
The duo bested Alpha Academy and are advancing.
Prior to Ivar’s return, the last time he was in action was at NXT Spring Breakin’ in April when he challenged Oba Femi for the North American Championship. Erik had been sidelined since the fall of 2023 since undergoing C6/C7 neck fusion surgery.
