NXT’s third episode on CW saw the show fall in line with its previous viewership on the USA Network without the aid of main roster talent.
The October 15 episode of NXT averaged 639,000 viewers and approximately 241,000 viewers (0.18) in the 18-49 demographic, according to Wrestlenomics & Programming Insider.
The show dropped 27% in overall viewership and saw a 24% drop in the 18-49 demographic from last week. It registered the program’s lowest audience since September 24 and the lowest audience in the core demo since September 3.
Last week’s episode averaged 874,000 viewers and 0.24 in the demo featuring Randy Orton, Jade Cargill, Bianca Belair, A-Town Down Under, and Jey Uso on the show.
NXT aired against the ALCS game between the Yankees and Guardians on TBS, which averaged 5,398,000 viewers and a 1.28 in the 18-49 demo – the latter representing the largest on television last night.
The show included a #1 contenders match in the main event with Ethan Page vs. Je’Von Evans vs. Wes Lee to determine Trick Williams’ challenger at Halloween Havoc.
